ISLAMABAD:
At least one policeman was killed in a blast in the federal capital on Friday. Police sources said the blast happened in the I-10 area of the federal capital. Three policemen were also injured in the attack that rocked the federal capital.
The blast seems to be a suicide attack, initial investigation suggests. The police constable who sacrificed his life to stop the suicide bomber was identified as Adeel Hussain.

The suicide bomber in a taxi blew himself up when police stopped him in the federal capital, police said.

The vehicle also caught fire and flames of fire could be seen from quite far away. Police contingent reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. The outlawed Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed the responsibility for the attack.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah while talking to reporters said an explosive-laden vehicle had entered Islamabad. He however said a brave police soldier sacrificed his life and foiled the terror attempt in the federal capital.
