CHAMAN: Armed accused opened fire in the Mukhlis colony area of Chaman and killed a levies man on duty. Levies sources said armed accused riding on a motorcycle opened fire at the levies man and killed him on the spot. The attackers fled away from the spot. The levies man was identified as Bashir Ahmed.

The dead body of the levies man was shifted to the district headquarters hospital, Chaman. A large number of people reached the hospital. The hospital administration handed over the dead body to the heirs after the completion of necessary official procedures.

Levies personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. Security was tightened in the area after the attack. Chaman has already witnessed bomb explosions and targeted killings in the past.
