Barkhan Incident: Sardar Khetran out from jail in triple murder case

Police on Wednesday evening arrested Balochistan Communication and Works (C&W) Minister, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran in connection with the recovery of the three mutilated dead bodies in the Barkhan district of the province. Amid tight security, Sardar Khetran was shifted to the police station. “Sardar Khetran has been detained”, the Spokesman of Balochistan Police told Daily Quetta Voice via telephone. “Special team is interrogating the minister regarding Barkhan incident”, he mentioned.

Khan Muhammad Marri, a tribesman has accused Sardar Khetran of killing his wife and two sons. The charge was vehemently denied by Sardar Khetran. The Police Spokesman informed that two other accused would also be arrested by police in connection with the murder of three persons including a woman and two men.

Police however lodged a first information report (FIR) against unknown accused regarding the incident in Balochistan’s Barkhan district.
