Police on Tuesday night conducted a raid at the residence of Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, the Balochistan minister for the communication and works department. “Police conducted the raid for the recovery of the missing children”, Azfar Maesar, the Deputy Inspector General of Police Quetta said. He said nothing was recovered during the raid. However, he stated that the data of the men present inside the house was collected.

This raid has come hours after the heirs and Marri tribesmen staged a protest demonstration outside the Chief Minister’s house and Governor’s house in Quetta to mount pressure on the authorities to arrest the culprits involved in the killing of two men and a woman. Khan Muhammad Marri, a tribesman has accused the Balochistan minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran of murdering his family members. The charge was vehemently denied by Sardar Khetran. Mr. Khetran termed it an attempt to tarnish his political image.
