The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Monday ordered the quashing of the first information report (FIR) against Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) leader, Shehbaz Gill.

The order to quash FIR against the PTIT leader was passed by Mr. Justice Gul Hassan Tareen of the BHC. A case was registered against the PTI leader for using ‘foul’ language against State institutions and inciting hatred against them in his speeches.

No multiple cases in one allegation: Judge

The lawyers of Mr. Gill including Syed Iqbal Shah Advocate and Shams Rind appeared before the court and argued that in one allegation multiple cases can not be registered against the same accused.

During the hearing of the case, the former deputy speaker national assembly, Qasam Suri and other central leaders of the party were also present on the occasion.

“This court orders quashing of FIR against Shehbaz Gill”, Mr. Justice Gul Hassan Tareen ordered during the proceedings.

The PTI leader Shehbaz Gill had also arrived in Quetta with regard to the registration of a case against him. “We would continue our democratic struggle for this country and nation”, Mr. Gill told reporters outside the PTI’s provincial office. He lashed out at the present government for what he claimed putting the country on the verge of economic default.

The PTI leader was also arrested in Islamabad last year for delivering stormy speeches against State institutions and inciting hatred against institutions.

BHC already ordered qushing of FIRs against PTI leader Azam Khan Swati

The BHC had already ordered the quashing of FIRs registered against Azam Khan Swati, another key central leader of PTI in Balochistan. Swati’s son had challenged the registration of FIRs against his father in various districts of Balochistan.
