GWADAR:

Two ships anchored at the Gwadar deep sea port on Tuesday morning. The ships were carrying Wheat from Russia to Pakistan, official sources said. Right now at Gwadar port, nearly 100,000 tons of wheat has been unloaded from four ships, they informed.

According to the details, two more big ships have also arrived at Gwadar port with wheat from Russia. Both ships have 50 thousand tons of wheat to meet the growing demands of flour in the country, the sources stated. The wheat would be supplied through China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) routes to overcome the shortage of wheat in the country. In recent, flour prices skyrocketed across the country.

Other ships carrying wheat from Russia are likely to anchor soon

Before this, three to four ships had arrived from Russia carrying various goods. It is said that another four lakh tons of wheat will also come to port soon.

Gwadar port is an important economic corridor for Pakistan and plays a key role in the development of the country and region. Gwadar also known as warm waters are of massive importance for Pakistan’s economy. The deep sea port is near the Straits of Hormuz, from which is a trade route between China, Central Asian States and Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Most of the world’s oil transport is done via the Straits of Hormuz.

Gwadar plays a key role in the development of the region

Economic analysts predict that Gwadar is rapidly turning into the main hub of international trade with everlasting business and commercial activities, which has all the potential to play a vital role in boosting the economy of Pakistan and the whole region.
