The Balochistan government failed to announce a special relief package for the masses during the holy month of Ramazan ul Mubarak. The district administration Quetta established a sasta bazar at the main Bacha Khan Chowk. However, people complained about the increasing prices of commodities in the Sasta Bazar. Sasta bazaars have been established at Joint Road, Sariab Road, Satellite Town, Nawan Killi, Airport Road and other parts of the city. However, people complain about skyrocketing prices in Sasta bazaars.
“No difference between the open market and the Sasta Bazar”, Muhammad Imran, a customer standing outside the bazar lamented. He said the government has merely deceived the masses and failed to give relief to the people during the sacred month of Ramazan ul Mubarak.

There was no crowd of customers inside the Sasta Bazar since the stalls were giving a deserted look. “All substandard commodities here”, Kaleemullah, a young man with a bushy black beard claimed.
The Daily Quetta Voice tried to speak to Deputy Commissioner Quetta about the increasing prices for the masses in the Sasta Bazar. However, there was no response from the DC Quetta.
Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili had directed all deputy commissioners and concerned departments to make sure the establishment of sasta bazaras in the province. However, the pasta bazar set up in Quetta was giving a bleak picture.

Skyrocketing prices of commodities have severely impacted the routine lives of the people in Quetta and other parts of the country. Especially, skyrocketing prices have affected the people in Balochistan.
