The district session judge Sariab Quetta sentenced an accused involved in child rape to five years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs.200,000 on Wednesday.

Jan Muhammad Gohar, the district and session judge announced the judgment, court sources told Daily Quett Voice.

According to the preliminary information report, the accused Agha Muhammad attempted to sexually assault a child in the jurisdiction of police station Abdul Khaliq Shaheed in the year 2021.

The case was presented in the court yesterday while pronouncing the judgment, the judge of the court sentenced the accused Agha Muhammad to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 200,000 rupees.

The accused will have to undergo another 6 months of imprisonment in the case of non-payment of a fine. The said case was investigated by SI Amjad Mehmood.
