A local court in Quetta convicted the murderer of Dr. Amiruddin Marri to a death sentence on Friday. Sources said the Additional Session Judge Sariab, Aminullah Kasi convicted the accused involved in the murder of Dr. Amiruddin Marri to a death sentence.
According to the police investigation, the accused Abdul Qayyum had killed Dr. Amiruddin Marri on November 5, 2021, inside his clinic. The Doctor succumbed to injuries inside his clinic.
The video of the attacker went viral and the police arrested the accused and produced him before the court. The court convicted the accused to a death sentence after his involvement in the murder was established and announced the judgment.
The Young Doctors Association (YDA) and other health professionals had demanded of the Balochistan government to apprehend the culprits involved in the incident.
