A man and woman were killed in the name of ‘honor’ in Balochistan’s Jhal Magsi district on Thursday. Police sources said a father opened fire in the Daro Khosa area of Jhal Magsi and killed his daughter and another man. The man belonged to the Thul area of Sindh province.

The accused escaped unhurt from the spot. Residents of the area and police reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to a nearby hospital. Police sources said that the father killed both the victims in the name of ‘honor’.

‘Honor’ claims scores of precious human lives

‘Honor’ killing has claimed scores of precious human lives in Balochistan’s Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Sohbat Pur, and Jhal Magsi districts of Balochistan. Rights groups have expressed serious concern over the increasing number of ‘honor’ killings in the area and demanded the Balochistan government take an action against the elements behind these incidents.
