Javed Afridi to sponsor Hajj of 82 year old Pakistani shepherd

Javed Afridi, the owner of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Peshawar Zalmai announced sponsoring Hajj for the 82-year-old Pakistani shepherd on Wednesday.

Javed Afridi said he would bear the expenses of the elderly man from Balochistan’s Hub district. The Spokesman government of Balochistan, Babar Yousafzai has already announced sponsoring the Hajj of the elderly man from Hub.

The elderly man has no mobile phone

The 82-year-old Pakistani shepherd who belongs to Balochistan’s Hub district came into the limelight when his video roaming in the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mosque Madina went viral.

The Pakistani shepherd identified as Haji Abdul Qadir collected money for 15 years to pay the expenditures for performing the religious duty of Hajj. Shepherd by profession, Haji Abdul Qadir made headlines in the media and dominated the social media networks including Facebook and Twitter.

The elderly man had not even a mobile phone and spent days and nights collecting money to perform Hajj.
