At least two coal miners were trapped inside a coal mine in Balochistan’s Dukki district. Levies sources said the mine was suddenly filled with rainy water, which left the coal miners trapped deep inside the mine.

Other coal miners managed to come out of the mine. However, the two coal miners were trapped since they were extracting coal from very deep, levies sources said.

“It has been 12 hours since our colleagues are trapped”

“It has been 12 hours since our colleagues are trapped”, Muhammad Zaman, a mine worker told the Daily Quetta Voice. He said so far there were no rescue teams or officials of the mines department to ensure the unhurt recovery of the miners.

However, Colone Noaman of the Frontier Corps (FC) along with other FC personnel reached the affected mine to make sure the recovery of the trapped miners.

Levies sources said both the trapped coal miners belong to the Killa Saifullah district of Balochistan.
