In presence of 65 Members of Provincial Assembly (MPA), what is the need of 32 coordinators. This question was put by Chief Justice, Naeem Akhtar Afghan before the lawyers representing coordinators to the Chief Minister Balochistan during the case against the appointments of coordinators on Monday.
Quetta-based lawyer, Sadiq Khilji Advocate had challenged the appointments of 32 coordinators to CM Balochistan. The court directed the government to submit all the details in this regard till May 17th.
MPAs mere taking votes then disappearing: Abid Panezai Advocate
Abid Panezai, the counsel for one of the coordinators appeared before the court and pleaded that his client was serving the masses on an honorary basis. He alleged that MPAs were mere taking votes and then disappearing.
Chief Justice asked the counsel whether the coordinators were withdrawing fuels or salaries from the government treasury.
Hearing adjourned till May 17th
A division bench of the BHC comprising CJ Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Mr. Justice Amir Rana resumed the hearing of the case on Monday.
Additional Advocate General represented the Balochistan government during the case.
The bench adjourned the hearing till May 17th.
