Former SCBA President demands JIT to probe Razzaq Shar killing

Former President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Amanullah Kanrani Advocate demanded the formation of a joint interrogation team (JIT) to probe into senior lawyer Abdul Razzaq Shar’s killing.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Kanrani stated that police investigation was not enough to investigate this high profile case rather a JIT should be formed to review all aspects in this regard.

Kanrani demands fair investigation into the incident

“I demand fair investigation into this case”, Mr. Kanrani said. He said law should take its course and the culprits behind the attack should be brought to book.

Razzaq Shar was killed on the occasion that he was going to the court for an important hearing in the Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr.Kanrani recalled. The slain lawyer was a petitioner seeking a registration of treason case against the former prime minister Imran Khan. Mr. Kanrani was the counsel for the slain lawyer in this high profile case.

Real criminals should be brought to book

Even if there is tribal enmity, the real criminals should be brought to light, Amanullah Kanrani demanded. He lamented that in this country, the poor are only punished. The powerful remain free. This incident should be investigated. What are their families going through? He said the family members of the slain lawyer were suffering through physiological trauma and demand justice.
