Unknown accused opened fire and killed senior lawyer, Abdul Razzaq Shar Advocate on Quetta’s airport road on Tuesday morning. Police sources said unknown accused opened on the vehicle of the lawyer near Almo Chowk area of airport road.
The assailants escaped unhurt from the spot. Police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to civil hospital Quetta. A large number of members of the legal fraternity and relatives reached the spot after the attack. Razzaq Shar was a supreme court lawyer and considered to be one of the senior members of the legal fraternity.
Senior police officers also reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. Investigators also collected evidence from the spot of the incident.
CM Bizenjo condemns the attack
Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the incident and directed the police to arrest the culprits behind the attack. In a statement, Mr. Bizenjo said the perpetrators of the attack would be brought to justice.
Home Minister asks police to submit a report
Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove also condemned the incident and directed the police to submit a report in this regard. The minister written a letter to police and directed to submit a report.
Senior lawyer Rahib Buledi advocate also condemned the attack and expressed serious concern over the killing of senior lawyer. Mr. Buledi said the provincial government has failed to ensure the protection of members of legal fraternity in Balochistan.
Lawyers announce boycott of courts against killing of Razzaq Shar Advocate
Balochistan Bar Association (BBA) also announced a boycott of courts against the killing of Abdul Razzaq Shar Advocate. BBA in a statement said boycott of courts would be observed today and tomorrow (June 7th) in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan to mourn the killing of senior lawyer.
