QUETTA: The Balochistan Services Tribunal on Monday directed the provincial government to appoint the Administrator Quetta within the next 15 days. This judgment was passed by the Chairman of the Tribunal, Mr. Naseebullah Tareen.

Senior lawyer, Munir Ahmed Kakar appeared before the court on behalf of the Administrator Quetta, Abdul Jabbar Baloch. The Balochistan government transferred Jabbar Baloch from the post of Administrator Quetta Metropolitan Corporation to the position of the Additional Secretary Chief Minister Secretariat earlier this year. The government had appointed Tariq Javed Mengal as the Administrator of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation.

Mr. Baloch challenged the notification of the provincial government.

The Chairman of the Services Tribunal, Mr. Naseebullah Tareen also ordered to set aside the notifications issued by the provincial government on 25-5-2023 and 27-3-23. The government has already appointed Mr. Tariq Javed Mengal as the Deputy Commissioner Pishin. The court observed that the latter was not contesting the case.
