QUETTA: Unknown accused opened fire and killed a husband his wife and a four-year-old child in the Eastern Bypass area of the city on Tuesday evening. Police sources said unknown accused opened fire at a family traveling on a motorcycle and killed all three persons on the spot.

The attackers escaped unhurt from the spot. Police reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to the civil hospital Quetta.

Police said that Abdul Khaliq was riding a motorcycle along with his wife and four-year-old son. Unknown motorcycle riders opened fire on him near the Mandukhilabad area. According to police officials, the police and rescue teams went as soon as the incident was reported.

They reached the spot and the bodies were taken to Civil Hospital, Quetta, where the bodies were handed over to the heirs after the post-mortem.

Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove took notice of the incident and directed the police to arrest the culprits behind the attack. He directed police to thoroughly probe into the incident and ensure that justice is done.

The minister grief and sorrow over the tragic incident. The motive behind the attack could not be ascertained immeidately.
