QUETTA: At least six people were injured in a hand grenade blast in the Joint Road area of the city on Wednesday. Police sources said unknown miscreants lobbed a hand grenade near the security forces’ check post. Two security personnel were also among the injured in the blast.
The blast left six people injured. The injured were rushed to the civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. An emergency was declared in the hospital to provide medical treatment to those injured by the blast. A woman was also among the injured.
Police and personnel of the frontier corps reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. Panic prevailed in the area after the hand grenade attack. The attackers sped away on their motorcycle after the attack.
