Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Kakar administering oath to the newly appointed caretaker ministers

QUETTA: A five-member Balochistan cabinet was sworn in on Monday evening. Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Kakar administered oath to the newly appointed caretaker ministers. The cabinet ministers include Prince Ahmed Ali, Amjad Rasheed, Jan Achakzai, Captain (R) Zubair Jamali and Abdul Qadir Baloch, former Vice-Chancellor Sardar Chakar Khan Rind University.

Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Ali Mardan Domki, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan and people belonging to various walks of life were also present on the occasion. This was the first phase of the provincial cabinet. The second phase of the provincial cabinet would be announced later.

“The number of the cabinet members is likely to be 13”, Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Ali Mardan Domki told reporters at the Governor’s House on Monday evening. He said the number of cabinet members would be increased. “Second phase of oath taking ceremony would be held very soon”, Mr. Domki said.

The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan termed peace and transparent elections as the main priority of the present government. “We want to ensure fair and transparent elections”, the caretaker CM Balochistan mentioned.

He said the new ministers would be inducted after consultation with all political friends and a decision would be made in this regard soon.
