QUETTA: Atta Mohammad Mullah Khel, president of the Disabled Balochistan Association on Tuesday said that due to the non-implementation of the disabled quota in Balochistan, disabled people continue to suffer.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club, Mr. Mullakhail demanded the Caretaker Prime Minister, Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, and Chief Justice Balochistan High Court to issue directives for the implementation of the disabled quota as early as possible.

He said that it is regrettable to say that the disabled quota has not been implemented to date due to which thousands of disabled people are sitting unemployed. He said that the Balochistan High Court had ordered that the 5% quota of the disabled should be implemented immediately and jobs should be provided to them according to their merit, but even after five months, it could not be implemented.

He said that due to the non-implementation of the disabled quota in Balochistan, vacancies are lying vacant in various departments. He has demanded that keeping in view the decision of the Balochistan High Court, the disabled should be provided with merit-based jobs immediately so that they can play their role in the support of their families, the development and prosperity of the country.
