Legislative framework about State response on security matters to be strengthened: PM Kakar

QUETTA: Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar ul Haq Kakar on Saturday said that the legislative framework about the State’s response on security matters would be strengthened. He expressed these views while chairing a high-level meeting about the law and order situation in Balochistan.

The meeting was attended by Caretaker Ministers Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Shahid Ashraf Tarrar, Sami Saeed, Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Mardan Khan Domki and senior civil and military officials. The Premier was briefed about the overall law and order situation in Balochistan and the steps taken by law enforcement agencies to maintain the law and order situation in the province.

People be provided financial and economic opportunities: Kakar

During the meeting, the prime minister also stressed further improvement of the legislative framework with regard to strengthening the state response on security matters.

He also reiterated that people would be provided with financial and economic opportunities at the federal and provincial levels, adding for the effective utilization of resources, the formulation of the latest and innovative strategy was indispensable.

The prime minister also lauded the role of the provincial government and the law enforcement agencies in maintaining law and order situation in the province.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar has emphasized the need to create jobs and employment opportunities in Balochistan under an effective strategy. The Caretaker Prime Minister emphasized the need for proper use of resources while maintaining balance in the budget and expenditure under better procedures.

The Caretaker Chief Minister, Ministers and related officials participated in the meeting. It can be utilized with reference to development. The caretaker prime minister said that in the presence of effective communication infrastructure in mineral-rich areas, these resources can be utilized in an efficient manner. In the meeting, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir briefed the prime minister about the ongoing and proposed development projects in the province.
