QUETTA: Senior police officer, Abdul Hayee Baloch was posted as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Quetta on Friday. According to a notification issued by the central police office, Aitzaz Goraya, Mr. Baloch’s predecessor was posted as the DIG Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).

Abdul Hayee Baloch has already served in Quetta, Naseerabad, Kalat, Panjgur, and other parts of Balochistan and is recognized as one of the dynamic officers.

DIGs of 10 divisions and SSPs of 21 districts also transferred

The notification for the transfer postings of DIGs of 10 divisions and SSPs of 21 districts has been already issued. Apart from this, Mohammad Murad Kangaroo SSP Kalat, Captain Naveed Alam has been posted as SSP Lasbela, Asif Mastoi as SP Hub, Hussain Lashari as SP Khuzdar, according to the notification, Abdul Aziz Jakhrani has been posted as SP Kharan and Abdul Hafeez Jakhrani SP Chagai.

This major reshuffle in the police department has been made prior to the announcement of general elections in the country. The Election Commission of Pakistan is likely to announce the schedule of the general election at any time in the country.
