QUETTA: Commissioner Quetta Division, Hamza Shafqaat on Tuesday announced a complete ban on the sale, purchase and use of polythene bags. Anyone who violated the ban would be penalized under the law, the newly appointed Commissioner Quetta Division told a function at the Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences (BUITEMS).
“Crackdown would be launched soon in this regard”, the Commissioner said. He said a comprehensive strategy was also evolved to ensure the cleanliness of the provincial capital. He said experts and all departments were on board to address the issue of heaps of garbage everywhere in the city.
