Protester blocked Quetta-Chaman highway against the killing of a levies official

CHAMAN: Tribesmen blocked the main Quettay-Chaman highway against the killing of a levies officer in the Maizai Addah area of district Killa Abdullah. A levies officer Abdul Bari was killed in a firing incident on Sunday evening.

The killing sparked a protest with angry tribesmen blocking the main Quetta-Chaman highway against the incident.

Deputy Commissioner Killa Abdullah Zakir Ali announced successful negotiations with the grieving family and committee members. The protesters called off their protest and reopened the highway.

Haji Muhammad Azam Massey Zai Muhammad, Ashraf Khan Kakar Chairman Haji Deen Muhammad Segai, Deputy Chairman Muhammad Akbar Khan Kakar, Malik Ziaul Haq Kakar, Haji Nasrullah Massey Zai Sarwar Khan Kakar Aminullah Mizai Malik Faizul Haq Kakar Malik Muhammad Hanif Achakzai and other tribal and social elders were also part of negotiations.
