QUETTA: Ali Mardan Domki, the Caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan, has affirmed that Afghan nationals with proper travel documents are welcomed in the region, dispelling rumors of an entry ban. He made this announcement during a meeting with senior journalists at the CM Secretariat, emphasizing the importance of legal entry through the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman.

“We stand for respectful migration of refugees”, Domki said

Mr. Domki also stated his commitment to tackling corruption within the immigration process, pledging to take action against police officials involved in extorting bribes from illegal immigrants.

Administrative shortcomings in Turbat incident observed

Addressing the recent tragic incident in Turbat, the CM expressed his determination to bring the perpetrators of the terrorist attack to justice. He acknowledged administrative shortcomings in the protection of six laborers who were brutally murdered in Turbat and directed the local administration to ensure the proper registration of laborers in the future.

144 imposed in Quetta to present blockade of Red Zone: CM

In response to the imposition of article 144 in Quetta city, CM Domki clarified that the decision was made to prevent the repeated blockade of the Red Zone, housing the Governor’s House and CM House, to avoid disruptions due to protests. He underlined that this move was not politically motivated but intended to ensure public safety.

Caretaker PM and COAS making efforts to imporve economy

Furthermore, Mr. Domki praised the federal government’s reduction of petroleum prices, considering it a significant relief for the general public. He commended Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir for adopting pro-poor policies aimed at bolstering the nation’s economy.

The Caretaker Chief Minister highlighted the unprecedented efforts against smuggling in the country and reaffirmed his commitment to eradicating this issue. “Our mandate is fair and transparent elections”, the CM concluded.
