Representatives of political parties meeting provincial election commissioner Balochistan

QUETTA: Provincial Election Commissioner, Sharifullah, has announced an extension of the deadline for voter registration, transfer, and data validation. This decision, made in accordance with the Election Commission’s announcement, aims to facilitate the public and encourage participation in the electoral process.

Representatives of political parties met the commissioner

Mr. Sharifullah expressed these views while meeting representatives of various political parties on Wednesday.

The new deadline is October 28, providing an additional three days for eligible voters to ensure the accuracy of their data, register, transfer their vote, or make necessary corrections. Citizens are urged to seize this opportunity to exercise their voting rights effectively, the Provincial Election Commissioner said.

Voters Can Send ID Card Number to 8300

To register, transfer, or correct their voting details, voters can simply send their ID card number to 8300. Additionally, for any type of correction, they can visit the respective District Election Commissioner’s office.

The Election Commission of Pakistan announced to hold local bodies elections on November 30th in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. Almost all political parties are set to participate in the upcoming local bodies elections in the city.

Local bodies elections were held across Balochistan last year. However, LB elections were not held in the Lasbella and Quetta districts of the province.
