QUETTA: Saleem Khan Khoso, the former Balochistan Minister resigned from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in protest against the provincial president Mir Changaiz Jamali. “The Provincial President has really disappointed me”, Mr. Khoso said in a statement issued to the press.

The former minister’s resignation came a day after the party held a day’s meeting in Karachi under the chairmanship of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to evolve a political strategy regarding the upcoming general elections.

As a sitting MPA of the former ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), I had announced joining the PPP, he recalled. “I risked my MPA ship and joined the PPP”, he said.

Now the elders of my area asked me to resign from PPP after unwanted interference from the PPP Balochistan president, he said.
