QUETTA: In a significant development for transparency and information access in Balochistan, the Caretaker Information Minister, Jan Achakzai, announced the approval of the Information Commission by the Balochistan Cabinet.

Achakzai, emphasizing the importance of the commission, revealed his dedication to its establishment, working tirelessly for its Rules of Business approval. He stated that the appointment of four Information Commissioners for the inaugural Balochistan Information Commission is imminent.

This commitment to transparency and governance priorities was conveyed during a meeting with Mir Bahram Lehri and Mir Bahram Baloch, underscoring the government’s dedication to fostering openness and accountability in the province.
