QUETTA: One person was killed in a firing incident in the Chaman Phatak area of the city on Thursday evening. Police sources said unknown accused opened fire and killed a person on the spot.
The attackers escaped unhurt from the spot. Police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to the civil hospital Quetta. Police launched an investigation into the incident. The motive behind the attack could not be ascertained immediately.
Panic prevailed in the area and shopkeepers pulled down their shutters after the firing incident.
