Chairperson of the Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA), Mr. Noor Ul Haq Baloch stated that, “BRA has achieved an outstanding 40% growth in revenue collection during the first six months of the financial year 2023-24, overcoming significant economic challenges”. The total collection stands at an impressive Rs.12.2 billion, comprising Rs.9.8 billion from the Balochistan Sales Tax on Services (BSTS) and Rs.2.4 billion from Cess, Mr Baloch added.
In a press release about the revenue collection by BRA, it was stated that a remarkable highlight is the substantial growth in Cess collection, reaching Rs.2.4 billion from July to December this year, a staggering 90% increase compared to the same period last year when Rs.1.3 billion was collected. Additionally, the BRA has successfully gathered Rs.57.3 million for the Worker’s Welfare Fund, marking a historic achievement.
This extraordinary success is attributed to the visionary leadership and diligent efforts of the management team at the Authority. Their strategic planning, innovative approaches, and unwavering commitment to optimizing revenue streams have played a pivotal role in achieving these remarkable results.
