QUETTA: At least two people were injured in a blast in the Eastern Bypass area of the provincial capital on Friday morning. Police sources said the bomb went off near a shop. Two civilians were injured in the blast.

The injured were rushed to the civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. The blast was heard far and wide. The motive behind the attack could not be ascertained.

This blast came a day after over a dozen bomb explosions targeting election offices of the political parties and candidates in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan.
