QUETTA: In a disturbing incident, armed men kidnapped ten people from a popular picnic spot in the outskirts of Quetta. Among the abductees is a customs official. The incident took place in the Mount Zarghun area, specifically near Shaaban, police sources said. They preferred not to be named because of the sensitivity of the matter.

Sources indicate that the armed men arrived in large numbers, surrounding the picnic area and checking the identity cards of the people present. Initially, fourteen individuals were detained, but four were later released, leaving ten taken by the abductors. Eyewitnesses recount the tense moments as the armed group methodically executed their plan.

Customs officials have confirmed the kidnapping of one of their own, adding to the urgency and gravity of the situation. The identities and affiliations of the other abductees have not yet been disclosed.

Efforts are currently underway to ensure the safe recovery of the kidnapped individuals. Security forces have intensified their operations in and around the area, with checkpoints and patrols increased to prevent further incidents and to locate the abductees. Law enforcement agencies are collaborating closely, deploying additional resources to track the kidnappers and secure the safe return of those taken.
