QUETTA: In Quetta’s Akhtarabad area near the Northern bypass, a Frontier Corps (FC) driver lost his life in a roadside explosion on Saturday, as confirmed by rescue officials.

Muhammad Zeeshan, the Edhi Foundation’s in-charge, informed quettavoice.com that an FC vehicle was on routine patrol when the explosion occurred, resulting in the driver being critically injured. He was rushed to the Bolan Medical Complex Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Zeeshan, referencing information from Quetta police, reported that the blast was caused by approximately four kilograms of explosives.

Following the incident, a large number of police officers, bomb disposal squad members, and FC personnel quickly arrived at the scene and secured the area for further investigation.
