The Anti-Corruption Unit has registered two separate cases against officials from the Communication and Works (C&W) Department in Dera Bugti and Sui, Balochistan, following an official inquiry. The officers and personnel are accused of advance payments, substandard work, corruption, misuse of power, and leaving projects incomplete.

DG Anti-Corruption Abdul Wahid Kakar assigned Deputy Director Investigation Shah Zaman Mandukhel to lead the inquiry, which revealed significant losses to the government treasury. Subsequently, criminal cases were filed against the accused.

According to Anti-Corruption sources, Muhammad Ijaz Awan (SE), Muhammad Ashfaq (SDO), Mohammad Ismail (Sub Engineer), Mohammad Aziz (Sub Engineer), and government contractor Darshan Kumar have been arrested.
