Kalat: A Levies post in Nichara, Kalat, was attacked by unknown assailants, leaving one Levies official dead and two others injured, according to Levies sources.
The attackers opened fire on the security personnel before fleeing the scene unhurt.
The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
A search operation is currently underway to track down the culprits. In response to the attack, security has been tightened in the area to prevent further incidents.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the attack while efforts to apprehend the attackers are ongoing.
