Dukki, Balochistan A coal miner lost his life in a landslide accident in Dukki district on Tuesday, just a day after a similar incident claimed the life of another miner in Harnai district. The victim, identified as Momin Khan, was working deep inside the Dukki coal mine when the landslide struck, trapping him under the debris, according to levies sources.

Rescue teams responded swiftly, but Khan was already deceased by the time they reached him. His body was transferred to a local hospital, and following official procedures, was handed over to his family.

This back-to-back tragedy highlights the ongoing hazards facing coal miners in Balochistan, where poor safety conditions continue to put lives at risk. The province’s coal mining industry has repeatedly been called out for inadequate safety measures, and these incidents underscore the urgent need for improved protections for workers to prevent further loss of life.
