A trajic attack on passenger vehicles claimed the lives of at least 38 people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lower Kurram region on Thursday. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi echoed this grim tally during a media address outside the Islamabad High Court. “This past week has been devastating,” he said. “A further 38 innocent lives have been lost in Kurram. We’re witnessing relentless violence and are in constant communication with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities.”
“They are an integral part of Pakistan, and we will not abandon them,” the minister vowed. “We’ll provide all possible assistance.”
Earlier reports from Tehsil Head Quarters (THQ) Hospital Alizai indicated 33 fatalities and 30 injuries, with some of the wounded being transferred to other hospitals within the district and even Peshawar.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur expressed outrage and ordered that those responsible will face the full force of the law.
