TURBAT: Police thwarted a potential terrorist attack by defusing an improvised explosive device (IED) planted at the agricultural farmhouse of former Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch in Turbat on Friday.

According to police, unidentified suspects had planted the device in the farmhouse located in the outskirts of Turbat.

The bomb disposal team successfully neutralized the IED and conducted a thorough sweep of the area to prevent any untoward incident.

Security in the area has been heightened, and police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the culprits behind the attempt.

The incident highlights ongoing security challenges in Balochistan, with authorities urging vigilance to safeguard key locations.
