QUETTA: Muhammad Ramzan, a security guard at Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), tragically passed away after reportedly sustaining injuries during a clash between students and security personnel.

His sudden demise has left the university community in shock and mourning, raising pressing questions about the events leading to his death.

According to sources, Muhammad Ramzan was injured during a violent altercation on campus. Despite his injuries, he returned home at night, where he reportedly succumbed to cardiac arrest. However, the circumstances surrounding his injuries and subsequent death remain unclear.

This publication reached out to a police officer investigating the incident, identified as Zainullah, who refrained from commenting on the matter. The lack of clarity and official statements has fueled demands for a thorough investigation into the incident.

The clash, which disrupted university operations, led to the temporary closure of BUITEMS. Students, faculty members, and staff expressed grief over Muhammad Ramzan’s sudden death, with many describing him as a humble and dedicated individual.

“Ramzan was a father of four and worked tirelessly to support his family. His death is a loss not just for his loved ones but for the entire university community,” said a colleague, holding back tears.

Despite the tragic nature of the incident, there has been no official condemnation or condolence message from the university administration or government officials. This silence has drawn criticism from students and staff alike, who are demanding accountability and justice for the deceased security guard.

The grieving university community insists that an impartial investigation is necessary to uncover the truth about the injuries Ramzan sustained and whether adequate medical attention was provided. They believe this is essential to prevent such incidents from recurring.

Muhammad Ramzan’s story is a somber reminder of the human cost of campus unrest. His family, now bereaved and struggling, deserves answers—and the assurance that his death will not be in vain.
