News Desk: The Balochistan government has announced the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the Ziarat incident after reaching a written agreement with the Ziarat sit-in committee, ending days of negotiations through reconciliation efforts led by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

The agreement marks a major step toward addressing the demands of the families of the Ziarat martyrs and improving the overall law and order situation in Balochistan. Both sides agreed to jointly work for lasting peace, stability, and public confidence across the province.
A key provision of the agreement is the establishment of a judicial commission to conduct an independent inquiry into the Ziarat incident. The findings are expected to help determine the facts surrounding the tragedy and support further action under the law.
The agreement also calls for a high-level meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, with opposition parties and the families of the martyrs to review the security situation in Balochistan and develop a consensus on measures to strengthen peace.
The provincial government confirmed that the victims of the Ziarat incident will be officially recognized as martyrs under the existing government policy. Their families will receive compensation, financial assistance, and educational support for their children in accordance with the approved compensation package.
To honor their sacrifices, the Balochistan government will name selected public buildings after the Ziarat martyrs.
The agreement further includes measures to strengthen the Balochistan Police in urban areas by increasing manpower, enhancing professional training, and improving operational capacity to tackle security challenges more effectively.
Addressing public concerns over revenue-related matters, the government will establish a committee headed by the provincial revenue minister. The committee, comprising government officials and local elders, will review complaints and recommend solutions to resolve public grievances.
Speaking after the agreement, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the sacrifices of the Ziarat martyrs would always be remembered and that supporting their families remains the responsibility of the provincial government. He also paid tribute to the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), Balochistan Police, and other law enforcement agencies for their continued sacrifices in maintaining peace and security.
