Chagai: Levies Force in Chagai arrested 72 illegal Afghan citizens during snap checks and night patrols, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to curbing unauthorized border crossings.

The arrests were made at various checkpoints across the district, with all detainees being repatriated to Afghanistan via the Barapcha border crossing. Highlighting their efforts, district authorities stated, “These operations are vital to maintaining peace and preventing illegal activities in the region.”

From January 1 to December 31, 2024, joint operations by the Frontier Corps (FC) and Levies Force led to the arrest of 3,826 individuals, including 2,779 males, 338 females, and 290 children. These coordinated measures underscore the determination of law enforcement agencies to secure the region.

The district administration reaffirmed that these efforts will persist to ensure peace and stability in Chagai.
