From Our Correspondent:

Mastung – A tragic gas leakage incident in Killi Kongarh, Mastung, claimed the lives of two brothers while two children sustained burn injuries on Tuesday.

The incident occurred when a room filled with gas due to prolonged and unannounced gas load-shedding coupled with low gas pressure.

The deceased brothers’ bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital, while the injured children were rushed to Quetta for urgent medical treatment. Neighbors rushed to the site and began rescue efforts as news of the tragedy spread.

This heartbreaking incident happened just hours after a similar gas blast in Quetta’s Sirki Kalan area injured a husband and wife. Such gas-related accidents are becoming alarmingly frequent across Balochistan, particularly in winter, as families rely on gas for heating amid inadequate supply and unannounced load-shedding.

Residents are calling on authorities to address the root causes of these accidents, emphasizing the need for uninterrupted gas supply and improved safety measures to prevent further loss of life.
