Quetta: In a latest development, another case has been filed against the Bolan University Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS) for alleged irregularities in the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT).
The case, filed at the Balochistan High Court, alleges that BUMHS was involved in unfair practices during the MDCAT examination, which has sparked widespread controversy among medical aspirants and their parents.
This is not the first time that BUMHS has faced allegations of irregularities in the MDCAT. Earlier, several students had complained about discrepancies in the exam results, prompting an investigation by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
The latest case filing has added fuel to the ongoing controversy, with many students and parents demanding a transparent and fair investigation into the allegations.
“We demand justice for the students who have been affected by the alleged irregularities,” said a spokesperson for the students. “We want a fair and transparent investigation to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.”
The BUMHS administration has yet to comment on the latest case filing. However, in a previous statement, the university had denied any wrongdoing and claimed that the MDCAT examination was conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
The Balochistan High Court has yet to hear the case, but the development has sent shockwaves among the medical education community in Pakistan.
