Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan Chairing an Important Meeting Regarding Creating Employment Opportunities for Youth.

A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, focused on creating employment opportunities for the youth in various sectors to ensure economic stability and empowerment.

The provincial government is set to launch a National Employment Program to address youth unemployment and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities. According to Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, nearly 215,000 new jobs will be created in the private sector under this initiative.

Shakeel Qadir Khan emphasized that concrete steps are being taken to make the employment program effective. All government departments have been directed to work on an emergency basis to generate job opportunities. He reaffirmed that providing employment is one of the government’s key responsibilities.

Job Creation Across Key Sectors

The employment program includes job creation in major sectors:

•Energy Department: 5,000 jobs

•Minerals Department: 30,000 jobs

•TVET(Technical and Vocational Education and Training) Sector: 30,000 jobs

•Microfinance: 40,000 jobs

•Industry: 20,000 jobs

•Information Technology (IT): 40,000 jobs

Chief Secretary also highlighted that additional opportunities will be explored in other departments to further reduce unemployment.

Commitment to Youth Development

“The youth of Balochistan will now reap the benefits of progress. Government resources will be allocated to provide employment opportunities for young men and women,” stated Shakeel Qadir Khan.

He further affirmed that government jobs will be strictly merit-based, and significant funds will be allocated for business development initiatives. “Skill development, financial resources, experienced mentors, and government support will now be available to every youth,” added the Chief Secretary.

This initiative is expected to improve the standard of living for the province’s youth while positively impacting Balochistan’s economy.
