Kalat: Unknown armed assailants attacked a Levies checkpost in Togho Chhappar, Kalat, early this morning, martyring one Levies official and seriously injuring two others.

The attack occurred at approximately 5:00 AM. The martyred Levies personnel has been identified as Constable Ali Nawaz Langove, while the injured include Constable Ghulam Ali, son of Gul Muhammad, and Muhammad Ayub, son of Wahid Bakhsh, both from the Langove tribe.

The injured were initially treated at DHQ Hospital Kalat before being shifted to Quetta for advanced medical care. Levies personnel responded to the attack, forcing the assailants to flee the scene. Following the incident, a heavy contingent of Levies force reached the site and launched a search operation to apprehend the culprits.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, strongly condemned the terrorist attack, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of a Levies officer. He paid tribute to the martyred official for his sacrifice and assured that those responsible would be brought to justice.

The Levies force has intensified security measures in the area as investigations continue.
