Gwadar: The Gwadar Book Fair 2024 witnessed a record-breaking Rs 2.8 million in book sales, attracting publishers, authors, and literature lovers from across Pakistan. This year’s sales saw a major boost from Balochi, Urdu, and English books, reflecting a growing reading culture in the region.

Balochi, Urdu, and English Books in High Demand

The event recorded Rs 1 million worth of Balochi books sold, while Urdu and English books made up Rs 1.8 million in sales. Readers showed strong interest in literature, poetry, and novels, making the fair a resounding success.

A Cultural and Literary Celebration

Beyond book sales, the Gwadar Book Fair featured literary sessions, book launches, poetry recitals, and cultural performances, adding to the event’s vibrancy. Traditional Balochi music and cultural showcases were also a highlight, drawing in large crowds.

Massive Growth Compared to 2023

The 2023 Gwadar Book Fair recorded Rs 1.8 million in book sales, making this year Rs 2.8 million milestone a significant jump. The event continues to grow as a major literary festival in Pakistan.
