ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub Khan, has downplayed concerns over an alleged travel restriction on a provincial assembly member, stating, “The MPA was not stopped on the Moon or Mars.”

Speaking to reporters in Islamabad, Ayub urged Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti to clarify the situation. His remarks came after CM Sarfaraz Bugti condemned his comments on Balochistan’s deteriorating situation.

The statement has sparked further political debate, with leaders highlighting worsening conditions in Balochistan and governance challenges.

In a brazen act in the mountainous Bolan Valley, multiple armed men snatched weapons from Liaquat Lehri, the member provincial assembly from the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) igniting fresh security concerns in the region and prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities.
