Qaseem Shah:

Quetta: The district administrations of Duki, Chamalang, Harnai, Quetta, and Mach have issued directives to coal mine owners, ordering them to remove Afghan nationals from their mines.

According to an official notification, the Balochistan administration has strictly prohibited Afghan nationals from working in coal mines. The coal mine owners have been directed to ensure that no Afghan worker is employed in their facilities in the future.

The provincial Mineral Department has revealed that between 10,000 to 15,000 Afghan nationals are currently engaged in coal mining across Balochistan.

The move comes amid increasing government scrutiny over unregistered foreign workers in the region.

This decision is expected to have a significant impact on the coal mining sector, as Afghan workers have been a major part of the industry for years.
