Khuzdar: A blast targeted a vehicle in Nal, a tehsil of Khuzdar district, killing four people and injuring five, local authorities confirmed. The attack occurred when unknown individuals detonated an explosive device attached to a motorcycle near a welding shop.

According to officials, the vehicle belonged to Samad Smalani, a resident of Kahda, who was critically injured in the blast. Among the deceased were Ubaidullah, son of Lal Bakhsh, and Munir Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghani. Two bystanders were also killed.

Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar, Yasir Iqbal Dashti, stated that security forces rushed to the scene immediately after the incident. One of the injured was shifted to the trauma center, while others were taken to a local hospital, with arrangements underway to transfer them to Khuzdar for advanced treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack. No group has claimed responsibility yet.

Spokesman government of Balochistan, Shahid Rind strongly condemned the attack and expressed condolences to the victims’ families. He stated that the government is committed to ensuring peace and security in the province. He vowed that those responsible for the blast and those trying to destabilize the region would be brought to justice and would not be allowed to sabotage peace.
