Dawood Ahmed:

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced its reserved verdict on alleged rigging in the re-polling of PB-45.

The commission dismissed the petition filed by JUI-F candidate Mir Muhammad Usman Pirkani, who had challenged the victory of PPP’s Ali Madad Jatak in the constituency.

Ali Madad Jatak was declared successful in the PB-45 re-polling, but Pirkani had raised concerns over alleged irregularities and challenged his re-election as MPA. However, the ECP rejected Pirkani’s claims and restored the notification of Jatak’s victory.

With this decision, Jatak’s position as the elected representative from PB-45 stands validated.
